Qantas Premier Titanium card

I rang last week for the second year. They wouldnt even entertain a fee reduction. Cancelled on the spot.
Well done

I was just having a look at the T&Cs for this card, and they say that the First Lounge invitation is valid in Sydney, Melbourne or Los Angeles.

Is the Singapore First Lounge specifically excluded?

I'd say it's more likely SIN F just wasn't open yet when they first penned the terms...

Here's what it shows in my QFF account for these invitations (it does still refer back to the card T&Cs again, but the fact it says it can be used at any QF INT F lounge I think addresses intent):
  • Titanium – Benefit: can be used at any Qantas International First Lounge on departure when travelling on a Qantas (QF) or Jetstar (JQ) flight number. Invitations are not transferrable. View the Qantas Premier Titanium Credit Card Benefit terms and conditions.
Cheers,
Matt.

IIRC, SIN lounges were an issue with the regular lounge passes before Covid. Passes had to be linked to a lounge and a flight electronically and SIN lounges were not on the drop down list that was available. It took me weeks to get a pass linked for a JQ flight SIN-CGK - only for Covid to intervene...

There was long running capacity issues at the Qantas Singapore Lounge, going back to well before the SIN F lounge showed up, and which meant they would not allow invitations and guest passes to be used... I think QC members were also redirected to a contract lounge for a while, but I believe that's history, now. General capacity rules do still apply to both spaces at any given time, however.

I had 1 good experience with the Concierge. After Qantas cancelled a leg of my flights, and downgraded me from business classic reward, I wasted alot of time chasing the frequent flyer department up for the missing points/taxes refunds. Even though they kept saying they'll send me an email to confirm details discussed in writing, I never receive these emails.
I was able to call the concierge and was lucky to connect to an assistant with common sense. She said although it is not a service they provide, she'll help me resolve the issue ASAP. After a few minutes on hold, she was able to transfer me to a team leader/manager in FF who actioned and resolved my issue straight away.

The one other time I used concierge was a total waste of time. I wanted to buy an off the rack suit in Sydney CBD within 12h. I spent 30 minutes explaining the requirements to the overseas concierge hoping they can take my detailed list of requirements and call up each suit supplier shop in CBD then email me the consolidated results - thus saving me time. What resulted was an even worse results page than google search - it included shops in Parramatta. I would've saved more time skippng the concierge and using google/chatgpt myself.

What would be tremendous value for Titanium customers is for Concierge to help make classic reward itinerary/bookings.

A notice of variation to the QF Premier Ti credit card terms was e-mailed this morning, with various items of minimal importance, but one which I can see will be a negative for myself, and no doubt other cardholders, which impacts on the Discounted Fares Benefit:
The Discounted Fares Benefit is not available on flights that form part of a Multi-City Flight Itinerary or Mixed-Class Flight Itinerary, except Mixed-Class Flight Itineraries that include only the following travel classes: a. ‘Economy’ and ‘Premium Economy’; or b. ‘Business’ and ‘First’.
Full detail of variations, here: https://www.qantasmoney.com/assets/...ntas_Premier_Titanium_Benefit_Terms_Sep23.pdf
They come into effect from 09 Nov 2023.

Cheers.
Matt.

Glad I got in before this.
Got the discount on Syd -> Singapore -> Bangkok -> Sydney earlier this month

Probably our fault they pulled it floss
Probably - I did berate the conceirge a little about hurrying up with the discount by way of refund, after ticketing. I think it might have been a bit messy for them (and QF) to figure out what the underlying 10% of base fare actually was, given it was multi-city and multi-carrier as well :D

Updating here after recently claiming one of the Ti card benefits successfully. The card offers a 10% discount off the base fare of [eligible] Qantas flights for up to 2 travellers, twice a year. To claim this, you contact the Qantas Money concierge to make the booking, and they complete the request with QF, including getting the discount processed before ticketing. This - however - only works if you have no more than 2 pax on the booking(s), and I needed to make 2 bookings that both had 3 pax on them.

I was unsure as to whether this would work out, and was prepared to split our bookings if needed to get the discounts I wanted, however they offered an undocumented alternative in which I just needed to make my booking via the Qantas website, take a screen shot of the Flight Amount breakdown ahead of payment and send that to them for making a claim. This allowed me to keep the bookings together, and have full control over the booking process, as well. I had 2 INT J bookings, 1 of which was all QF, and also a booking which was a blend of QF and MH. The concierge forwarded my claims across to 'Qantas management' for calculation and approval, and then the 10% base fare discounts were reimbursed to my card.

The process was a little clunky, and time taken from end-to-end was 18 days to complete. Communications were a little absent for my liking, but it did work out for my requirement, and so no real complaints, in the end. The J discounts more than cover my 1st annual & additional cardholder fees.

I'll need to wait until July/August to see how the SCs post, which is interesting as my wife & I are both entitled to 20% bonus SCs on flights booked directly with QF using the card... plus this was booked during the March DSC offer. The terms say that the bonus can't be stacked, but as it's 20% on the base SCs, I'm hopeful of ending up with at least 120% bonus SCs for the DSC flights.

I also put a solo classic reward (U class) booking in for later in the year that I'm interested in whether the DSC and 20% bonus will apply to... more on the SCs when they happen.

One other thing I'll confirm is that the 2 x F lounge passes were added pretty soon after the card was approved, but as myself and the additional cardholder are the only ones who can use them, and I have QFF WP already, it's unlikely we'll get use of them. A real shame they can't be transferred to another's booking.

Cheers,
Matt.
Hey @dairyfloss - how did you end up going with the stacking of the status credits during the DSC promo?

I got both, but not stacked, as such… I got the regular SCs + double SCs + 20% bonus SCs on the base value, for all eligible flights. Example - one of the flights was SYD-SIN in business ‘D’ class on QF, and got 125 + 125 + 25 = 275 in total

Can you clarify this, since I was wondering - the T&Cs seems to suggest that only the primary cardholder can access the lounge passes. Are you saying there is an option for the additional cardholder to receive the pass into their QFF account instead?

Hi - yes, I don't believe it is possible to transfer them, even to the additional cardholder. My only options with these are to link them to eligible bookings found in my QFF account.

It's very restrictive. I understand leaving control of who can get them to the primary account / cardholder, but beyond that, who cares what they do with them, so long as they aren't selling them! Apply the same rules as for all other complementary passes. As it stands, we will not and likely never benefit from this aspect.

Here's the clause I see together with the Titanium vouchers in my QFF account:
  • Titanium – Benefit: can be used at any Qantas International First Lounge on departure when travelling on a Qantas (QF) or Jetstar (JQ) flight number. Invitations are not transferrable. View the Qantas Premier Titanium Credit Card Benefit terms and conditions.

Hi all,

How quickly do the 20% bonus status credits (when booking a QF flight using the card) get credited to your QFF account? I am looking at booking SYD-SIN in late December for a status run (and quick getaway) to make WP status this year, and would need those bonus status credits before my anniversary date of 31 December to qualify for WP...otherwise I will be just short.

Mine have showed up within about 2-3 days of the base SCs crediting… but it doesn’t matter, as they are credited based on the activity date, and so even if it took 2 weeks, you’d still be made WP after they credited, even if it was in the next month

Cheers,
Matt
