Hi Team

Has any body had any issues with flights that keep on disappearing from Qantas " My Booking", i've had to ring up 3 weeks in a row. Everytime I ring up I have to rebook the same flights. Qantas cant give me an answer to why they keep on disappearing. This is getting so frustrating as ive spent at least 8 hours on the phone waiting for them or talking to them.

Has anybody else experienced this?

I have them not showing up on the website, but they are showing on the app. Not sure what is going on.

Why are you rebooking? If you have a booking reference you can look it up yourself if the online my bookings system isn't showing

The Booking reference number appears to revert to a credit removing all flight details every week or 2, even when I look it up. I called qantas again last night and got through to a good operator. He was flabbergasted when he looked at my account and the multiple bookings on the same reference. He managed to fix it again and get me booked on the correct flight and now its showing online. However I guess time will tell if it drops off again.

Huh I have never heard of that happening, have you booked flights that are subject to cancellation? In case its auto-cancelling? The way it reverts to a voucher means you have paid, but the booking isn't sticking/ it's rebooking you to a flight credit.

I think if this happens again request a new booking reference, in case its linked to a broken booking ref that can't hold a booking

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Of QFd's limited offerings at present, quite a few are being cancelled as lockdown in Victoria and worries in Sydney, plus various lockouts or quarantine requirements (14 days) in the other four states are having an adverse effect, one surmises, on bookings. If you look at the Qantas flight cancellations/delays thread for today on AFF, you'll see that four Sydney to Melbourne QFd own metal flights had been timetabled, but only one ran. However this may be a different issue to what you are experiencing, but it shows how flights during coronavirus may be even more subject to cancellation than usual.

Yeh I thought as much, however these from FEB 3 Syd - ADL and FEB 7 ADL - Syd, every single time after the booking disappeared i tried booking again and could find the same flights, I also looked on expert flyer and found my seats had gone missing to.

That would be agonising: the wait times are now so long for pleb (non platinum) frequent flyers and doubtless stressful to have to re-book.

Is the booking that you are trying to make a "brand new" booking or is it a booking made from a credit or combined credits. If it is the latter sometimes these need to go off to a queue for manual processing, the original booking is not lost but it may disappear for a while. Given your bookings are not until Feb 21 I would not be that concerned at the moment. As @calmelb mentioned, at times and it does not happen often a booking can just become broken. In a normal year I will book a 100+ flights per year with QF and have only have experienced these problems once or twice over the past couple of years. Seems like you got unlucky.

We once had a booking that auto cancelled when the expiry date of the voucher we’d used was reached. Fortunately we realised and QF were able to reinstate it.
