Qantas hotels - 9 points per $ spent

We are booked to go to Singapore in February next year and I wanted to treat the Flygirl to a great experience.
We stayed at Royal Plaza on Scotts when we came back from London last year, and my wife loved it. So this time I planned to book a club room on the top floor and surprise her!
I've been checking the hotel website, plus a few other on line booking engines and the Qantas rate was the best by about $200, so I decided to wait for a points deal to make the booking.
Yippee, got an email today saying there is a 9 points per $ spent deal until midnight today, so it is all booked and sorted with a nice big 36K points gain after the stay.
Now all I want is a DSC promo for a couple of other trips planned for next year!!!!
Just thought others may want to take advantage of the deal while its there.
