I'm about to cancel some hotels booked on Qantas Hotels, which were booked at a fully refundable rate. They have offered a 1,000 point sweetener if I just opt for a credit voucher. I've already churned the CC i booked it with so this seems like a sensible option and i'm going to book something the voucher quite soon anyway. However, the Ts and Cs of the credit voucher seem contradictory. The first part says:
++If you cancel a booking that was paid for with a credit voucher, a replacement credit voucher will be issued for the refundable amount.
Then a bit further down it says:
+Vouchers issued by Qantas are not exchangeable or redeemable for cash or other goods or services. Vouchers can only be used once and any unused portion of a voucher will be forfeited. The value of the voucher will not be refunded and no replacement voucher will be issued when canceling a booking.
My concern is that if I have to cancel again I wont receive another credit voucher and will do my $.
Anyone have an interpretation of this?
