Great story on the BA 787 tour, I hope Qantas does something similar for P1s instead of only doing that Saturday 'DreamFlight' for media and VIPs. Not beign a P1 it won't mean anything to me of course but QF promised perks like this when they announced P1, time they delivered!

... some P1s have had a look at the previous 787 that was in Australia. It wasn't configured with passenger seats, but the tour was similar.

If that report is right, does anyone know what time on Saturday it will be at BNE? I might go out to the airport for a look.

Would be good if Qantas let some of its frequent flyers have a look at the plane.

AusBT mentioned on their twitter feed the BNE stopover is 'lunchtime', nothing more specific unfortunately.

Steve, did you not see the flight that several P1s got on John Travolta's 707 a couple of months ago? That is indeed the sort of perk P1s were promised - and was delivered. Why are you suggesting that QF hasn't delivered on it??

Some theorising from the generally very anti-QF Ben Sandilands, that QF may now get 787-8s to replace the 767s on CityFlyer services....
Qantas may have taken 787 Dreamliners back off Jetstar | Plane Talking

Maybe the tour could be used as the platform for announcement.
Maybe not.

The 787s have always been slated to replace the 767s, the question has just been when???

No timings yet and it will be parking at QF Hanger 3.

Ooh! Ooh! AusBT just tweeted this: "Fancy an exclusive guided tour of Boeing's 787 at Sydney Airport? Tune into AusBT tomorrow for your chance to win!"

Okay so it's not an actual flight on the 787 but its got to be the next best thing if like last time there's no access for the public (unless you're invited by Qantas of course).

Would love it if Qantas offered a tour to some of their Platinums in Darwin *hint hint* #Red_roo!!

Oh, an the timing has now been added to the original article for the BNE visit. No MEL times as yet it seems.

26th: Dep SYD @ 1030, Arr BNE @ 1230. Dep BNE @ 1700, Arr SYD @ 1830.
