Traveling to MEL today wanting to know if I can get a massage before I go. Asked at the BA first lounge and was told only BA customers can use the Spa?

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

From personal experience the First Host at LHR will book you into the Spa at No1 Traveller Lounge. It's upstairs from BA. Ok massages and facials with some product up sell. Never had a problem getting a booking flying QF F

Last time the host said he would make a booking for mrsOpusman, but when she went to the spa they denied having received it. He was apologetic but did nothing to resolve it so she had to fly home spaless!

Yikes!!! That's a bit poor. Luckily I've never had a problem at LHR with the First Host. They are invariably lovely and very efficient with the Spa bookings and boarding procedures for F pax.

I can confirm that I was told 'only BA customers' when I tried to access the Spa at the T3 F lounge last month when traveling on an F QF ticket

I think there is some confusion here between the BA Elemis Spa, adjacent to the entry point to the T3 Lounge, and the No. 1 Traveller Spa which is upstairs above the BA/Qantas Lounge, as PF says in her post #3 above.

QF F pax used to have access to the BA Lounge spa, then that was closed for quite some time, and an arrangement was made for treatments at the No. 1 Traveller spa. I've tried the latter twice but wouldn't really bother with the rigmarole (or the attitudes) again.

The Elemis spa reopened recently. However, it is - as reported above - available only to pax on a BA F ticket. Disappointing, I agree. :(

I'm certainly not an expert here, but I had understood that the Elemis Spa in T3 had closed permanently, following BA's move to T5. Do BA still operate F flights out of T3?

It reopened some weeks/months back. Was certainly open from the beginning of October.

Edit: Oh, and yes, BA does still have some T3 flights.

They stopped for quite a while but have now re-commenced with services to LAS, YVR, MIA amongst others. As a consequence of this the Elemis Spa has re-opened.
What I would like too see (probably not alone in this) is QF re-negotiating Elemis Spa appointments for their F Pax as it provides a much more seamless experience than having to leave the BA lounge and go upstairs.

Yes, agree, PF.
I've already given feedback.
That should work?:)

Recently flew QF F from LHR T3: Elemis spa for BA 1st only: paid spa upstairs, no offer of bookings etc by QF First hosts, lovely as they may be

Suspect it says something about the state of the BA/QF relationship..
and QF building a lounge at LHR
