I have treated myself to a J/F return flight to BKK on QF23/24. Anybody know how early I can check in my luggage and get in the F lounge at Bangkok? I get in from Samui about 6 hrs before QF24 leaves - am I able to get in the F lounge for all that time?

It's probably too soon to say given QF23/24 hasn't started operating yet, but I would expect the lounge to open for transit pax off BA9 at 15:20.
But I doubt the check-in would be open sooner than three hours before QF24's 20:55 departure.
So I think you'll be out of luck, transferring from a domestic flight.

The BKK F lounge is nothing special, indeed it is virtually the same as the regular lounge just across the corridor. Still it is always good to see another lounge.

Been a while since I've been there but the j lounge opens early arvo . F lounge opens a couple of hours later. As commented... Really nothing special but still nice.

Slightly nicer food and champers. Can be quieter or more crowded depending on the time of day, YMMV. If you're around when it's open head on in, but if not then the business lounge is similar enough in amenities. Nothing particularly worth going out of your way for (and I say that having unnecessarily gone out of my way several times and wondered whether it was worth the trouble).

The BKK F Lounge is nothing special and can get very crowded.

I find the Business lounge a nice alternative but I do not pay any attention to the details of wines or champagnes to worry about it.

I has in BKK airport earlier this week, and the sign on the door said the F Lounge wouldn't open until 8pm. I instead set up in the J Lounge which was quiet and fine. I could have moved across for the last 45 mins of my lounge experience, but as I recall (as do others here) the F Lounge wasn't that great last time.

It should be to a certain high standard, this is the Kangaroo Route after all......

I was in the F Lounge last week and it really is nothing special.

Yes I totally agree. It's fine for a transit stopover, quick shower etc. Very small, cramped but with polite, helpful staff. Shower area is steamy hot before you turn the water on.Would not get to the Airport early expecting a great Lounge visit at QF if staying in BKK.
