Will soon be returning BKK to SYD on Qantas Business Fare. Then transfer to Qantas Regional service home.
Question is, does flight into SYD on Business Fare allow access to Business Lounge while waiting for onward Qantas regional service?
Any advice appreciated.

Yes. Both under OneWorld lounge access rules (arriving longhaul business class and connecting to shorthaul), and via QF's own lounge access rules.

The link for Qantas specific access rules is here, look under the 'international business class' box, which mentions 'connecting to or from': Lounge Locations | Australia | Sydney Domestic | Domestic Business

There have been some reports that some QF lounge staff are not aware of the rules, so you might want to print out a copy of the relevant page.

Absolutely, you're still traveling within their network. The rules as stated in the above reply is what they go by

Hi MEL, is that the case if the onward domestic flight is in Y. The OP hasn't said but the onward flight may not have J class ?

It doesn't matter if the onward flight offers economy class only, or has a mix of business and economy (and the passenger chooses to fly economy).

Both the QF rules, and OW rules (in this case), allow access when arriving international QF business class connecting to domestic.

Separate tickets are also allowed (no need for the entire itinerary to be on the same ticket).

Print out those rules and take them with you Bunyah just in case the lounge angel's computer says no. Someone on AFF in your exact same situation got a knock back recently.
