Hi Everyone,
Last Friday I was flying Qantas codeshare back from Shanghai to Singapore to join QF6 back to Sydney. Checking in was a nightmare, lucky I arrived 4 hours early as China Eastern had around 5 wide bodies leaving around the same time and only 2 check in staff processing the passengers. They were backed up out the door! After some Chinese clients had major dummy spits over missing flights did they bring in extra staff but at no time did they call flight passengers forward. Many of us had to jump the line in order to make our flights. When I finally arrived at the check in desk the clerk decided he needed to text his friends for 15 minutes despite my protests, then he called me back to unpack my bags in the security area for checking with nothing found. The plane was dirty with no hand towells at all in any of the bathrooms and the noises from the wings during preflight flaps deployment suggested they were seriously lacking lubricant!

I think Qantas really needs to review their relationship!
