As posted elsewhere an amazing turn around in Qantas bottom line via a couple of wins and some accounting transactions, but I guess the reward of $12m is enough to blind anyone to the reality of customers and staff..:arrow:

It had already been a good year for Qantas boss Alan Joyce, who has led a major turnaround at the airline and received a $12 million pay-packet as a result of its strong performance.But it got even better on Wednesday evening in Helsinki, Finland, when influential industry consultancy CAPA Centre for Aviation named him the CAPA airline chief executive of the year in its 13th annual awards. Qantas was also named the CAPA airline turnaround of the year after reporting a $975 million annual underlying pre-tax profit in August, up from a $646 million loss the prior year.
