Hi all,

I made a quick search for this but couldn't find the answer to my question :-|

I'm flying on QF93 MEL-LAX this November and managed to snag 33A and 33B (upper deck economy). Is there a wall behind these two seats? If so do the seats still recline or are they limited in how far back they can go?

Thank you! :)

I've been in 33b before and it felt like full recline - but I didn't measure it against any other seat.

All economy seats on QF A380s have the same recline. Note that the recline mechanism on newer QF economy seats (long haul, including 744 and A380) slides the seat bottom forward as the seat back reclines, so the actual amount of movement of the top of the seat back is relatively small to achieve a similar angle to the old fixed-bottom seats. So even the seats that are situated directly in front of a lavatory or other fixture have the same recline as any other seat in the same cabin.

Seatguru seems to apply that comment about limited recline to any airline in the last row in front of a fixture, whether it actually applies or not.

Watch out for 33B, as it has the IFE system box under 32B in front of it... IME it can be quite uncomfortable if you don't have the pair to yourself!

Thank you! Just to confirm - does 33A or 33B have the entertainment box underneath the seat in front? or do both?
Cheers :)

I believe it was only 33B that was affected... SWMBO sat in 33A, and made no noise about it; something I am quite sure she would have done, were she at all put out as a result of my deluxe seat selections...

Cheers.

Not the QF A380 however I flew on the QR A380 BKK/DOH 2 days ago & had the last row upper deck 31K which had the full recline/seat sliding forward feature.

The comms box was slimline compared to my next sector DOH/BCN on the A333.

The exit row on QR had a huge amount of leg space which may be more an Airbus vs an airline thing. Not sure if QF has this also.

Have flown 33A before. Yes, there is a wall, and no the recline is not limited.
