Recent trip to Myanmar booked direct with SQ, and (presumably) my KF freq flyer number was automatically included in the booking because I used their app.
I am happy to book direct with SQ, but generally will use my Velocity FF number for points/SC credits. So at check in for first leg (domestic VA to MEL) I ask for my Velocity number to be added in place of KF - so thats all good, 3 BP's thru to Mayanmar now show my Velocity number, and the same thing is organised for return flights, including final domestic VA leg - BP's all showing my Velocity number.
But - when I check online to to see the points/SC's have all be credited properly, I see only the SQ flights have been posted with Velocity, not the two domestic VA legs. And the missing flights arent posted to my Krisflyer account either..
So I take things up by phone with Velocity - am told VA system will not allow them to change the original FF number for those two flights - I must instead go to SQ to ask them to change FF no's and thus allow VA codeshare flts to be credited to my Velocity acct.
So how come the SQ Intl flights in the same booking were credited to my Velocity acct ? Best we can work out is that SQ's online booking engine will allow FF changes to their own flights, but not to 3rd party/codeshares..
That may indeed be the case, but now I wait for SQ to say why those flts werent credited to my KF acct instead..
