Is anyone aware of changes to Priority Privilege Second night free roo vouchers. Alays used these for Club rooms at Intercontinental Sydney but for last 2 months no club rooms show for any dates ? Cheers

I'm not aware of any. Have you tried any other hotels :?:

Thans for the reply, yes tried other hotels which seem to be fine but Intercontinental Sydney Club rooms are a no go any dates at all.

Unlike the Ambassador BOGO they can be restricted beyond the 7 day advance purchase requirement to lower spec rooms or at set times there can be no availability at all. However there are promos where you dont even need to use them, if you can use those to suit your travel needs you can get 5-10 free nights for your membership fee.

You have been unable to use the PP BOGO voucher in club rooms at both the IC Sydney and the CP Darling Harbour since at least September 2008. They just appear to have pulled them with no explanation.
I have tried many dates since September but none have been available.

The terms and conditions of the program would appear to contradict my impressions that they could be restricted:

Stay 2 Nights for the Price of 1 Certificates
1. Stay 2 nights for the Price of 1 is based on staying two nights for the cost of one night. This is calculated at the first night being on the Members Best Flexible Rate and the second night will be complimentary.
2. 2 x Certificates in Membership package. One (1) transferable. One (1) Non transferable.
3. Stay 2 nights for the Price of 1 Certificates is valid on all room types otherwise available on the Best Flexible Rate.

In the main T&C's it does say the number of rooms are restircted, however I would argue its either all or nothing, if there is a PP room available and the room type you are after is on the best flex rate as available you should be able to book it:

1. Priority Privilege member promotional rates or special offers available from time to time are published in the Priority Club Rewards magazine or e-newsletter, and are only available for the validity stated in the magazine.
2. Accommodation benefits (including rates and certificates) are limited to an allocated number of rooms at participating hotels. Priority Privilege room allocations are sold quickly, particularly during peak periods or local events such as school holidays, public holidays and weekends. There is no guarantee that an allocated Priority Privilege room will be available at the hotel or for the days preferred. Please check when booking membership benefits are available.

I would call the reservation centre, I have sene them come up with more options than online in the past (after all, quite a few hotel locations are not even bookable straight up in the website such as Caloundra and Torquay!

I have found Sydney IC to be totally miserable. Only once have i been upgraded to a club floor. I am a RA. I have found the best response is to ring the number on your card, in order to use points/vouchers etc and explain the situation, you will get a better hearing than at the front counter, especially in Sydney!!!!!

Thanksgod for the recession, Perth was always full. Maybe we can enjoy ourselves there now as well.
