Pricing anomaly ["Taxes" added AFTER selecting Flights]

Just booked a ticket with VA and noticed something odd with the pricing on their website. I selected a freedom fare which was priced at $683 after selecting it added $300 in taxes and fees (3 pax) which I thought was odd as I've never seen that before. Called the Platinum line and was told that was correct the taxes are added after you select the fare, I don't recall that ever being the case. Seems a bit odd as if you book through the mobile website it gives you the fare at $683 including taxes.

What route? Did you get a screenshot of the problem that you can post here?

I didn't think of taking one, just checked again and the error appears to have been corrected ended up booking through AMEX platinum which was cheaper anyway.
