Potential problems with personal details on wait list booking

I have two waitlist bookings for saver business class return BNE/FRA and BNE/ZRH for Christmas time. I booked the FRA a few weeks ago and can not recall if any of my personal details were wrong. Made the ZRH booking early last week and I checked my personal details before proceeding and noticed the date of birth to be my wifes. Only I am travelling on this booking as family will already be in Europe.

I proceeded to change my date of birth and when my correct date of birth was shown on screen pressed save and then proceeded with booking. Afterwards I checked my details and saw wifes dob still shown.

Emailed Krisflyer to advise of problem and reply was to the effect that personal details could not be edited by me and a copy of passport to be sent for them to verify. I did this and asked if the waitlist bookings will be a problem if it comes through. I also advised that wife and I had redemption bookings in May/June this year without problems and I do not know when my details started to show wifes dob.

Saturday night I received a phone call from Indian sounding man and after identifying me said he would change my details. He also noticed that my middle name was not included in my details (he had a copy of my passport) and said he would update that. I asked about impact of wrong dob on redemption booking. His response was that could be a problem and that if travelling to USA would be a problem. No solution was given. My earlier email had asked if I should cancel waitlist booking and start again.

Today I have checked my details again and my middle name has been misplet! An e instead of i. Have emailed again advising of mistake and asked about waitlist bookings and if I cancelled and started again would I go to the back of the line.

Any suggestions or comments would be most welcome.
 
bit of a mess there. Telephone them again. Try 02 9350 0203.

For the waitlist you could wait until you are advised that the flight is available, then telephone to ticket it over the phone. If you explain the reason for the telephone call then I don't expect that you would lose the 15% discount.

You can edit your details for future bookings via the Account Details page on the Krisflyer site. Previously I had also done this fo some bookings but my KF number went through on my son's booking...grrr.
 
Thanks Alby for your comments. I received this email response a day after my email:

"Thank you for your email dated 22 October 2012 to Singapore Airlines. We
have tried to contact you but were unsuccessful.

We would like to inform you that we have updated your name in your
Redemption reservation and your KrisFlyer profile as follows. (correct spelling was then given) and

Further to your query, we have also updated your advance passenger
information in your Redemption reservation to reflect your full name and
your birthdate as per your passport. In addition, please note that
changes made to your reservation does not affect your waitlisted
bookings."

Went on and checked my details and all information was correct including my dob on the waitlisted bookings. Fingers crossed that one of them will clear.

Had tried to manually change my details but would not let me do so and the response as that I would need to contact Krisflyer to do so.
