Possible to cancel one person on a two person Red E deal?

Hello everyone,

My partner and I are booked to fly with Qantas to Sydney and back this weekend. Unfortunately, I am unable to go but my partner would still like to. We are on the same booking on a Red E deal.

If I try and change or cancel the booking online, I can only do so for both passengers. Is there any way I can only cancel or change my ticket, and leave my partner's ticket unchanged? I assume I could do it by phone but I would prefer to do it online if possible.

As a last resort, I could cancel the whole booking and rebook my partner with a new ticket on the same flights. I've checked the fares and they aren't significantly higher. I think the difference would be roughly the same as the telephone fee. I may need to do it this way.

Call Qantas, ask them to split the booking.

Cancel your booking, and keep your partners.
