Points Plus Pay J Reward Question

Hi All

Last April I did a J rewards Per-CBR using points plus pay after reading post on here. I managed to book the flights for 13800 points plus $380 return.

Next year I am looking to go to MEL and do the same thing but I cant get anywhere near the same cost/points combination.

Can anyone tell me whether this was a promotion or are there cheap flights there that I am missing?
