Hi all. Did a search but to no avail.
I flew heathrow to Helsinki return in Feb with Finnair.
Got credited with the LHR-HEL 15 status credits only two days after I travelled. Happy days.
However the return flight was a different story.
After a few weeks, I submitted a claim and it was rejected by Finnair.
I submitted another and it was rejected again.
normally I wouldn't bother, however I am sitting at 585 SCs and only need those missing 15 SCs to retain Gold.
I don't have any flights booked before my yearly review is up.
Any ideas on what I can do?

The first thing to do is check that it was actually an eligible flight to earn QF SCs.

Look here to see the eligible booking codes:
Frequent Flyer - Flying Qantas and Partner Airlines - Flying with Qantas & Jetstar - Earning Qantas Points

If the fare code isn't listed then, sadly you're out of luck and will need to either do a mileage run or drop back to Silver.
Thanks HVR.
I'm 99% certain it was eligible. It may be a problem with the fact that I was upgraded at the service desk and it sent the booking into turmoil so to speak?
I have a 50sc or 8k points loyalty bonus to use, but I really didn't want to use the 50 SCs as I have no need for it. Although I probably have use for it now.

Upgrading often stuffs things up. Send through an email explaining the upgrade and attach the original E ticket and they should be able to sort it out.

In my experience claiming AY flights with QF always leads to a rejection (e.g. charter flight). Just send the e-ticket and BP to Qantas.

I don;t think I have the BP any more.
Believe it or not, I did have it up until a week ago and then had it thrown out (not by me).

If QF ask for a boarding pass, contact AY and ask for a document confirming you were on the flight.

Who did you lodge the claim with? QF or AY? The claim should go to QF and only QF can reject it.

I lodged it with QF and in my QF FF feed it says 'rejected by partner airlne'

UNSUCCESSFUL - PARTNER REJECTED THE CLAIM AY 1332 Y 07-FEB-2019 00:00:00 HELSINKI/LONDON

You might have more success ringing them and contacting the FF service centre. They can do the manual force. I have had a AY flight rejected due to 'Charter Flight' and when I mentioned that I paid a J fare, and also had other paying customers, and on a regular flight number they asked me for proof I travelled (BP) and then manually forced it through

Well I received an email from Qantas asking for:

If you no longer have your boarding pass, please request a written travel confirmation from our partner airline that states the following flight details:
Passenger name
Flight number
Specific letter of fare type purchased (Sub-Class) / Ex: Economy - V
Date
Origin and Destination

Rang Finnair and they said they would email the original ticket (not sure if that's going to cut it) and the operator said she'd pressed send, but it hasn't turned up and that was half an hour ago.
Something tells me this is not going to be easy.
