Platinum question

Ok am back after 2 open heart surgeries, Dh is platinum, we usually travel together so pool the points etc. this year we have barely travelled. Got the double SC email. Need like 560 to maintain platinum, by mid may. My question is if we don't hit the 560 - which I think can be done by a per-mel-bne run its wether we can fit it in or not, what will happen to the status? Will he drop back to gold? Or will we have to start again as we lose all points? Cheers!
