Hi
My gold status expired 28 Feb 13 and I requalified for Gold and then in past two week ( & in new review period) I requalified for Gold again for 2014-2015;
I was thinking that I had reached gold for next 2 years taking my gold membership up until 2015.

However I forgot that my SC's didn't expire until 365 days after they were earned (and not lost at end of anniversary date) therefore I am now Platnium for next 12 months as I reached over 1000 SC in last 12 months. (really wanted gold x 2 years)

I know I won't achieve Platnium renewal for next year and that I would be pushing it to attain Gold so I was thinking of doing a award points status run in J before end June (plus book award for partner who will pool to me) in order to help get the SC's needed for Gold by review date of March next year.....was just about to book and then I read on Velocity that if I don't achieve Platnium by my next review date that I will be moved to Gold.

Is that correct that even if I dont get the SC required to achieve even Gold, that I will still be Gold for the following year (downgraded from Platnium)

Hoping that is the case, so I don't have to burn award Points in order to try to achieve Gold as I will be given it anyway ???

Fingers crossed that I'm reading it correctly.. ??

Yes you are reading it correctly.

Woohoo, happy days. I can keep the 55,000 points I was about to burn to put towards an actual destination I want to fly to rather trying to maximise and gather SC's
thanks
