Perth losing the QR A380?

Strange, I just looked at September through to December flights on the QR website and, as was said, a B777 is shown from 12 /9. However, it reverts to being being an A380 from 27/10. I wonder if it is just a "seasonal" change or they haven't adjusted the later dates yet?

Maybe it’s to facilitate aircraft maintenance or something like that.

27 October is the start of the northern winter season, and airlines tend to adjust their schedules around this date. I suspect the changes just haven't been loaded for the northern winter yet, but we'll have to wait and see for now.

I'm flying in on 8th. I'll be watching the aircraft types a bit nervously. I'm booked in F on a QF award flight. It would certainly be a significant downgrade if they swapped the aircraft early. The older 777-300er aircraft look to have seating which isn't that much better than Emirates from what I've seen in a few videos. Plus, if we get downgraded to J, we'd lose access to the F lounge in Doha.

I think you would have a case to push for being routed in J to SYD and then F on QR to DOH. At least, I'd be making an argument for that if it were me.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm actually flying in from Doha. I'm spending a few days in Perth before flying home to Brisbane. I've already prepaid non-refundable accommodation and a rental car. I'll just hope it doesn't happen. :)

F on QR isn't that great anyway TBH. The F&B is pretty similar, it's only really the wines that are (slightly) better. The bar on the A380 is nice though for being able to stretch your legs.

What about the seat?

Yay looks like I'll be on the first qsuites from doha to adelaide! I'm booked on 16 June.

Damn, the flight has now changed back to normal J seats. Strange though, when assigning seats after the aircraft change, QR split up myself and my parents!
