Instead of paying money , if agreed by both the parties , can the compensation be in the form of Points or Gifts ( Bottle of wine , gift voucher etc )

How do you determine the value of $29 worth or points since the true value of points seems to be shrouded in ambiguity.

It would be a value both parties agree to, so wouldn’t necessarily be what everyone thinks $29 - $49 is.

The member requesting assistance should plan to pay cash. Points or Gifts can be subsitueted if, and only if, the member assisting agrees. This discussion should take place after the advice has been accepted.

So, in summary, plan to pay cash. Once you accept the advice, you can offer to pay in points of gifts. If the other party agrees (and is happy with the conversion rate) then fine. Otherwise pay in cash as per the rules of this forum.
