hi everyone

why cant i obtain an ICE COLD drink inflight? No i dont want ice in my beer or coke to water it down, i just want icey cold drinks

i flew business recently for the first time, i wrongly assumed the better service included cold drinks LOL

what are your thoughts?

Which airline? I haven't had an icy cold beer on any airline. Ice cubes change that though. ;)

I feel your pain billthecat, the onboard drinks are never as cold as I prefer.

Absolutely agree drinks are never cold enough much like the cabin temperature on most flights.

You want the cabin colder? Too many passengers are under dressed and get sick during the flight passing that on to me.

I can't help, sorry, but that's one of the more original 'introductions' in a long time ;)

Next time take your own ice bucket..... Ask for as much ice as on board to fill bucket..... Hey drink in bottle or can place in ice bucket.... 5 mins..... Ice cold drinks

There are no fridges on most commercial aircraft; a nominal quantity of ice is loaded but the drinks aren't stored in ice due to the space.

It's an issue of both space and also weight (fridges would be heavy and that means less profit).

Be careful what you wish for.
In TG F on one occasion the vodka was frozen solid, so I had to wash down the caviar with Dom.

Johnk your undressed too? Or overdressed? Does it matter as long as a cold bear is your hand. Alcohol is (can be) recommended treatment for sickness! Unless you meant © Ebola ð

I always wear a jacket. Sore throat for 3 months after a flight is not my idea of fun.

Check make sure your thyroid is functioning at peak performance.

Actually there was a USB powered fridge as one of the Kris Kringle gifts at our MEL Dinner.

Maybe that would solve the problem?

Hang on I'll just check my freezer...nope the Stoli is still liquid. I'd suggest you were not served straight vodka.

I'm with you on this. Mostly too warm and perfect for airborne bugs. Much easier for others to put on a sloppy joe or somesuch than me take off a shirt.

Well, there's always the 'tech crew' fridge. The area around the base of the doors is normally bordering on frozen.....

Just put it out on the window sill for a few minutes.....

Welcome to AFF. Amusing first post.
