What is the most you have ever spent on one bottle of Booz. I have payed $2500 for a bottle of 1953 whisky, it was in Christchurch at the whisky shop sad to say the shop is no more but, I still have the whisky.

JustLuxe - Mobile Edition

I also spend far to much on Grand Cru Burgundy's just ask she who must be obeyed.

So you got a bargain then?! The link mentions it had a reserve of US$100,000 at auction?!

Have you opened it :p

Heard the UK auction ended with no one meeting the reserve...not sure about the US one.

OP - which whisky? Glenfarclas?

There should be one comming to Sydney Duty Free, if it has not arrived yet. A$250,000 and they expect to sell it!!
Has its own special case. a whole lot of cash for some funny tasting brown water, but the gold in it look cool.

And if buying it inbound to Australia, would you need to pay duty/tax on it (over the $900 limit) or does the limit not apply to alcohol so long as its less than 2.25 litres?
