If Qatar does do this on an ongoing basis, it would be a very good way to get direct from ADL - AKL.
On some days, the flight from DOH gets to ADL about 17:xx and then goes onto to AKL.
Seeing no direct JQ flight there from ADL anymore, AKL that is, if QR does this for the future, I would be most pleased.
Edit: relevancy to QFF, as QR is a FF partner, though granted the QFF points earn rate is lower than direct flights from east coast Au - NZ with QF, or LA with carrying a QF flight number.
Paws crossed.

Just replaces the DOH-BNE-AKL flight. When NZ opens up the DOH-AKL may return.
Air NZ had/has a AKL-ADL service
QR don't take AU originating pax between AU and NZ.
But EK did (SYD-CHC) as did other airlines pre CV19.
When NZ opens up would be good if they took AU<--->NZ passengers.

Last one from me on this, AirNZ have put their neo into the ADL - AKL flight, so no J cabin, of course, does not make much of a difference, seeing no *A lounge in ADL.
Also tried to do dummy bookings, as above mentioned, ADL - AKL on QR is not available for sale on its own.
Pity that.
Thanks again.

They'd need to apply for and obtain traffic rights. Given the AU gov won't even let Qatar add more frequencies from AU to Doha I don't like their chances.

Under a separate non star alliance agreement, Air NZ Gold and above gets access to the Qantas Club before departure from Adelaide, this doesn't extend to non Air NZ *G.

I am at the bottom of the AirNZ status food chain, so no entry to the QP "lounge" in ADL, but I have used that lounge many times as QFF SG and had QP membership ($) for a few years.
