Looking for some help from the experienced Accor users.

Our work policy is that we should spend no more than $200 per night and try and get breakfast included if possible. I generally stay at an Accor property as I'm now gold and have found a property in most capital cities that I'm happy with.

Am looking at a Brisbane trip in the 2nd week of October and everything is around $250 p/n. I've been to Brisbane plenty of times and have always managed to stay at either of the Mercure's or Novotel and get breakfast included for well under $200. Then I continued to look and prices don't come down til mid December.

I then decided to look at Novotel Parramatta (another regular hotel that I get breakfast with) and once again over the same period it's all around $250. Then the last one was Ibis Perth (normally get a room for under $200 but no breakfast) and could only find one week that was unde $200.

Anyone know what's going on? This doesn't seem normal, however I'm not usually this organised and normally book about 6 weeks in advanced. Would have thought I'd be getting a better deal looking so far ahead.

Thanks

Just wait for the next Accor Private Sale / Promotion. Unless your stay is during a big sporting event / conference (in that case hotels are unlikely to release rooms at promo prices) you should be able to grab a deal before your stay. In the meantime you can cover your back and book a room at the higher price, just make sure you can cancel it before your stay ;)

PS check out this Private Sale in the meantime http://www.accorhotels.com/gb/hotel-private-deals/index_apac.shtml

Long weekend with public holiday on the Monday, could be a reason why prices are high ?
