Wondering if anyone can advise on this. My daughter has booked a Stansted - Newcastle return on Easy Jet. It appears to be a single booking with a single reference.

Due to travel changes she doesn't need the outward sector but still wants the return. If she doesnt show up for the outward sector will they cancel the return booking?

I would suggest calling Easyjet and asking. Given that they charge for flights on a one way basis, she may be ok, but would recommend checking with the airline for a definitive answer

Don't know specifically about EasyJet but the majority of airlines will cancel remaining flights in an itinerary if one of the legs is not flown.

Thanks guys, finding a phone number for Easy Jet where you can speak to a real person is harder than finding the holy grail, but I have e-mailed them and will see if we get an answer

I just had a word with Indiana Jones (my bff) & the Holy Grail actually exists believe it or not .
It propably took a good couple of mins to actually find their number, but seek & you shall find my friend.
They sure don't make it easy for you though :!:

Yes persistence does pay off, I found the number and after a 30 minute wait got through to a real person who informed me the return sector will still be valid even if she no-shows for the outward. Just hope what he says is accurate since the portrayal of Easy Jet on the UK show Airline does not necessarily inspire confidence

Can you record the phone call or get them to send an email to confirm what they have told you. At least that way you have some proof.

Just wanted to point out that the MAJORITY of domestic airlines in Australia do NOT cancel a return segment if the outbound is not flown. :)

Cancelling tickets in this manner is a legacy of last century air travel.
