No saver rewards BNE - SIN ever?

I'm trying to search for my sister for a one way J class saver from BNE to SIN as she has points expiring and i've spent 2 hrs on the site and there is never one, everything is only waitlist, is this normal? i've searched from about Nov to Jan 15 right up to the last day available, there are three flights a day and not one of the ever has a saver redemption.

That is not surprising, often SQ are better closer in to travel than a long way out. Waitlists sometimes do clear, so I'd suggest putting in a waitlist for your desired date.

Thinking out of the box I tried Saver Suites from Sydney to Singapore on December 15th (one way) and it was 63750 points. It would be worth a lot for you to post a smile from your sister sitting in an A380 Suite. If you google it you will see how good it is.

Have you tried looking for a business saver SIN-BNE? There was adequate availability for March 2014 and June 2014 when I was looking a few months ago. I ended up booking BKK-SYD instead.

Can't say I've had an issue booking J saver with SQ on BNE - SIN and return. Booked 4 seats last October BNE-SIN-KUL to fly in April this year as well as the return SIN-BNE. As JohnK suggested maybe try booking the return leg instead? Also try clearing your browser cache?

SQ has definitely become meaner to AU flyers, even using Krisflyer miles.

Might be because its one way only, but there are none, so I've managed to get her a y class seat to Barcelona for her cruise later this year instead, pity the plan was to get her into J class to SIN then buy a return flight from there to Barcelona and then get her back to BNE one way J class again on her hubby's points which are also expiring but four hours on the Krisflyer site gave me no joy, so y class all the way sadly, at least she saves 1100 off the airfare but gee those taxes are steep the j class redemption got her way more bang for her buck and she hoped to break her stay in Sin but can't do stopovers on one way redemption flights, thanks guys for the help.

Bit late now but the chocked up flights could be due to Lunar New Years for most of the region, starts Jan 31st so many keen to return to the motherland

My reference points.When booking a month out ie June for July-BNE-SIN-BNE or November for December BNE-SIN-NYC-SIN-BNE there was plenty of availability.
Now when trying to book in Jan 15 SIN-BNE the only J availability is the day the awards are released and then only on the overnight flight.

I had joy getting RGN-SIN on SQ through Life Miles for Jan 15 last week but they gave me no joy for SIN-BNE-wanting to do 18+ hours on Eva air.

You may need to go backwards to go forwards and seeing Brisbane is close to Sydney have a look out of there.
I lent my brother a $200,000 ATO bill and he has already booked SQ Suites MEL-SIN-CDG for 110,000 Kris Miles.

Last night I booked SQ J awards SIN-BNE for Jan 2015.Always 2 J awards on the 0045 service on the day of release which disappear 24 hours later-every day and I have been looking for 2 weeks now.
Bit the bullet even though we would prefer the day time flight.The reasons-QFF wanted 120000 points + $SGD575 vs SQ 93500 points +%SGD490 and it is SQ not QF.

Tonight we are in Los Angeles after using one Saver and one Standard from Singapore.
Perth is difficult to get Saver to Singapore as well.

Messing about between Xmas and New year I found there was options to book savers BNE - SING return in early May with a Thursday flight out and Sunday night/monday return date. So it is likely that a return combination will work better.

On the same theme though, I tried to get a saver upgrade SIN - BNE for a mid week 9PM flight last week and there was none available. It does seem they are really limiting the availablity of the saver options. Given they always seem full I guess we shouldn't be suprised?
