I'm sure Phil Priest is a nice guy, but I'm not sure how his employment with Virgin Blue is newsworthy, especially as he joined the company three years ago:

I think a News Corp journalist decided it was all too difficult to find something to write about, so decided to crib from a Virgin Blue PR blurb.

Not enough QF issues to pick on obviously :!:

Slow day at News Ltd... either that, or they have a writer from New Idea over for some cross-pollenation.

Perhaps it's the work experience student's turn next week?

:)

I don't think it's really newsworthy? Who gives a ?

Nothing in News Ltd is newsworthy. Every time I see a Daily Telegraph lying around and look through it all the stories are like that... Takes about 30 seconds tops!

Don't forget it's not too long until we're *expected* to pay for this online fluff... ;)

Counting down the days!

That just makes me laugh everytime I think about it...does Murdoch really believe people will pay to read the garbage his joke for "journalists" write...give me a break, surely even he isn't that stupid.

Which is one of the reasons I keep mentioning it ;)

I predict the deadline will fail, and he will keep presenting BS as news and not attempt to get people to pay for it.

The "news" system has changed and the moguls are no longer in control. I don't really like the alternatives, but the people have spoken (eg Facebook/Twitter etc).

Murdoch has obviously lost the plot on this one, or he's been swayed by some clearly misleading advice.

Who's going to pay to read the New York Post when you can get the New York Times for free? No-one, that's who. And paying to read Sydney's Telegraph? I mean, come on!
