One observation about EI under his tenure - he certainly seems to have done a great job in turning their financial fortunes around, but as a passenger the travel experience has gone way downhill.

As a legacy flag carrier, EI used to be a genuine full service airline, similar to QF. However, the difference between EI and Ryanair is now pretty marginal IMHO. You don't even get free drinks in Y on transatlantic flights, and if you want a proper meal it costs an extra €18. The staff also seem completely demoralised and disinterested. If he does something along the same lines with MH, they certainly won't be getting my business.
