Can't see them being successful, but maybe if they advertise a sheet load on all media channels, unlike Rexy who nobody outside (very very few) AFF even know about.

How long did Compass last, all the marks 1, 2, all in all?
Though, the amount of monies outlaid in expenses in starting an airline, can all be written off as legitimate expenses for tax.
So, even if someone paid out Aud$2m or more to start up Bonza, its all deductible.
Not sure to laugh or cry that someone/some people/some group would spend so much to set up a new airline.
 
Apparently Newcastle Airport jumped the gun with the Bonza announcement, posting on their Facebook earlier today about flights to the Sunshine & Whitsunday Coasts. It quickly got taken down. So we can at least expect NTL-MCY/PPP to be announced.

I’m going to put a stick in the sand and say the Bonza joke ends on 13 Jul 22.
They will have had AOC rejected or will have run out of seed capital by that point, or some other reason (the latest Covid variant with a 0.05 mortality rate resulting in more travel obstacles…).

I have no knowledge of their situation: complete guess…. My 0.00c worth. 🤪

Suprisingly, within a 2 hr drive of ABX there live approximately 250,000 people.

Although Wagga obviously has its own airport (but much more expensive I guess than flying on Bonza will be) and Shepparton is only 2 hrs from MEL, but the parking situation might make ABX attractive for some.

Tiger flew MEL-ROK/MKY. Struggled. I recall Tiger flew MEL-MCY also and pulled out.

Those Cairns routes won’t work. Melbourne to Cairns during the dry season should be a given without Tiger in the market.

MCY-PPP/ROK, TSV-ROK some other fizzers.

Strange no OOL. Usually the first airport offering dollars and deals to new airlines. I was guessing it would have been OOL based.
