New Darwin Lounges?

Just reading through the TXP documents now that the contract has been awarded for the ~$60mil airport extension in Darwin.

Anyone guess what QF and VA are going to be doing? Looks like the whole 2nd floor is lounges...

Lets hope for a QF J Lounge, better opening hours (to allow access by J* Intl flights) and maybe even a VA lounge as well?

Decent lounges a must, and both VA and QF should get them. Would love to see a suspended animation chamber for the time spent waiting for the red eyes.

QF lounge available for J* customers there could not be a huge qty of paxs.

Would be awesome. I have done a J* int flight and no lounge.

Even a Koru Club Express style lounge for MI and JQ pax would be awesome on the International side (ie a lot better than nothing). I still favour suspended animation chambers as the preferred way to handle the airport after 10pm, and all JQ flights (domestic and international)

The problem is that there is no lounge option and no QF intl departures. Darwin pax to sing or Bali with access to QP would be minimal at best. More of a gesture from QF for status pax or QP members that have to suffer with J*...

It's so bad in fact, in flying DRW-SYD-MEL-Europe, J and F the whole way, simply because J* is such an atrocious way to start a trip!
