Stumbled across these pictures of the new amenity kits on the Virgin Australia International Facebook page.

To clarify as posted below Business passengers on Airbus 330 coast to coast services also receive the International Business Amenity kit.

I think they look pretty cool, the post card in the Economy packs is a pretty groovy idea.

I wonder what the "VIP Invitation" pictured in the Business Class packs is...

Got one of each on a rtn trip to Perth from Sydney last week, however they were slightly different, no hairbrush in the female and only two tubes of creams in each one, not the three shown in the pic. The FA did look at me a bit strange when I asked to swap the one on return for a female kit.

The VIP invitation is just a discount code to use online to purchase the "grown" brand of cosmetics who supply the two small tubes, one of orange hand cream (same as lounge) and the other is vanilla and watermellon lip balm.

Yep me and wife got one each last night Syd-Per.

They are nice, and high quality products unlike some other airlines who I am sure just buy their stuff in bulk from coughpy suppliers.

Wow amenity kit domestically! How about getting the real stuff sorted first.. Hmmm like catering and IFE, oh no hang on, it's coming... Sooo is Christmas!!

I got a 4 course meal with smoked salmon ceviche, lamb cutlets, cheese platter, white and dark chocolate tart plus bread and a couple of glasses of wine.

The IFE had 8 (I think) movies showing but we used our laptop instead.

Don't get what the issue is?

DJ have been doing amentity kits before the intro of J across the domesic network, it's not something new that has distracted them from the job at hand.

All 9 of your post on this forum have been third person criticism on Virgin's new service. In the case where you have personally experienced a service below what you expected I would recommend you use the proper channels of communication via the online feedback form or by a pm to the Virgin rep.

Feedback form: Send Feedback | Virgin Australia

However, from the nature of your posts It seams you haven't ever actually flown the service yourself, and hence it leads me to doubt the legitimacy of your persona.

I have found the purple pens to be quite good, have one on the fridge for shopping list.

These new kits look great and a lot more substantial than the original Bvlgari ones they had around the launch of the Coast to Coast A330 service.

It's nice to see competition raising the game domestically still. Looking forward to collecting a few in June.

These look great - I was totally underwhelmed with what you get in Upper Class on Virgin Atlantic - a coughpy pair of socks and a naff toothbrush

The grey pens were given to crew, although they tend to always go off when walking through the medal detectors. I used mine up until it got stolen (don't know why somebody would bother!) through security. The purple pens are much nicer to go through security with and are much more plentiful in the cabin! ;)

Wow - nice kits, Virgin have really done their homework. Kudos to Virgin for using Australian made & owned, organic skin products!

I use and love Grown products & could do with some of those travel minis, so I'll be eagerly keeping an eye out for these amenity kits for sale on eBay.... or what I mean to say is, you will HATE those coughpy moisturisers/balms so get rid of them while you can!

I bet pens are the one thing cabin crew are asked for a lot, especially when the immigration cards are handed out.

I got given the Premium economy kit on a MEL-CNS flight. Pretty cheap and nasty, the toothbrush was so bad that I ended up spitting out a mouth full of plastic bristles that came off it. No kit given on the return so I asked for blanket and pillow, the FA looked at me dumbfounded as if to say, "you must be kidding". Virgin domestic J really is just a bit of a joke. (actually it's a total joke but I'm being polite in front of the kids)
