Personally I would sack Neil Perry for his (IMHO) pathetic offerings at Qantas.
I agree 100%. Flew QF J to / from Wel last w/e...his "inspired" char siew duck salad, and chicken with mushroom sauce and mash / brocolli were almost inedible:shock::evil:

There are probably other things that weren’t reported that contributed to the sacking, as they alluded too. They could have been nice about it and given her some notice though, as she was pregnant.

The restaurant group said Mrs de Leon had been rude and unprofessional and had jeopardised an important customer relationship.

However, on that front I doubt she would have jeopardised anything, as guests at the Four Seasons would presumably still want to eat at such a famous restaurant they’ve heard about, no matter what a grumpy concierge that can’t do his own research thinks ;)

Some of it is good stuff, others is pretty pedestrian. F meals are pretty good, and really that's all I can think of as being Neil Perry or Neil Perry inspired!

Everyone's gotta have a chef to show off - just look at NZ and VA. Whether the food stacks up is altogether a different affair.

Back on topic, I don't think the full story on both sides is being told. But someone has ruled on it and a sentence has been passed, so I doubt the detail really matters any more. Once I was at Harvey Norman, a sales colleague was sacked after he sold some goods to a customer (revealed to be a friend) at near cost/cost/a bit below cost (certainly not for free). I myself, a casual sales staff, was quietly given less hours to nothing after I accidentally stuffed up a sale resulting in making only a profit which was about 20% of the nominal profit margin.
