Need 255 Sc's to maintain gold by 03 June best options?

Well, due to some long contracts in Brisbane I have not had much opportunity to fly the past 12 months. Now as a result I am running plum out of time!

I need 255 Sc's by June this year. I have planned a return to Syd and single to Melb (return will be aster 3 June).

But It has become apparent that I will need to do some SC run, this will be my first... It feels strange flying just to maintain Status, but I can't give up my Gold, not now!

Whats my best option? i'm thinking I may need a short International return to get me there with out too much flying...

I need 150 to regain status and am doing MEL-BNE-MEL for $198 return in Y (30) and MEL-OOL-MEL return in J for $918 (120).
I'm not very good at this either, but perhaps you could look at a couple of MEL-OOL in J runs which will net 240 SCs and then go from there. I notice now that MEL-OOL in J has gone up to $509, so it's probably not much help.

hmm.. I'm looking to make the most of the double SC offer, but I haven't found any great options - certainly not in the short haul Int's.

With the OOL>MEL run in J currently over $1000 return for 120 SC, it would be cheaper (but more time consuming) to do some Flexi returns at under $400 for 60SC.
From Brisbane, there's BNE>CNS in J for $488 & 60SC, one way.

Runs Bris to Perth, Darwin etc for 80SC in J are priced $1000+, so not even worth it to do the longer hauls from what i can see.

Sorry that's not much help.. hopefully one of the experts can come up with something creative!

I did get the offer for double SC's... I should dig out that e-mail and see what that was all about.

I also just signed up for the Amex Velocity plat which will net me 150 SC's only 100 more to go once they kick in!

Are you sure you will get the required spend and credit of the 150 SC's before June 3. They are useless to your situation if not. I would suggest have a serious look at your double SC offer and how to get the most out of it but there is really no 'cheap' way, such as JASA's, to earn VA SC's in a short time. As Justinf points out above you could do a return J MEL-OOL and get 240 SC's but it will cost you $1,000+. Thats an expensive lounge membership in my books.

either take up a couple of credit card promos or find someone who you can make a family member that is travelling heaps.
