Naomi Campbell has been banned from flying with British Airways following a row over missing baggage.

Campbell, 37, was arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer and later released on bail after being removed from the flight to Los Angeles.

The incident happened at Heathrow's Terminal 5, where thousands of passengers have been disrupted by its chaotic opening.

How can you be arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer? You either did or you didn't!

It would be nice if they could release details of what actually happened between Naomi Campbell and BA staff for her to be banned from flying BA....

And that is a determination for the courts, not the police. The person is arrested on suspiscion on committing an offence and then charged with having committed an offence but it is up to the court system whether the person is convicted of an offence. Despite the popularity of trial by media, the UK does still stick to the slower more costly method of trial by jury to determine guilt

BA may need to be careful about getting rid of "rude and insulting" people on board planes.... they may need to fire most of their cabin crew.
 
So how long will this ban last? And which airline gets to put up with her in the meantime?

Well the scrubber* did claim a few months ago that BA invited her back to fly with them, but she wouldn't because of the horror she had been through at T5.

Perhaps she should invent "Naomi hAir". The only true carrier for those people more important than anyone else.

* Note that scrubber isn't a derogatory comment - it only refers to her Community Service she served when she threw a phone at her housekeeper in 2007. I believe she was quite apt as scrubbing floors clean with her mop.
