Hello There,

I'm a long time reader, and really enjoy this forum

I'm just wondering if anyone could help me..

I'm trying to book tickets for CGK-ADL return with SQ, with the CGK-ADL leg in either D or J, and Y for the return...

I'm wondering if this is possible and if so, how do I do it.. the other thing is I need to leave CGK on 5 OCT and back from ADL on 25 DEC..

Appreciate anything that anyone can tell me...

Cheers,

Yes it is possible. Im not sure how you would do it though. Previously when this has happened for me it was when Qantas Business Travel booked the flights for me.

You can do this easily with Krisflyer points. Two ways to do it:

book an economy ticket, and use points to upgrade
book two one way awards (after the new changes come in next way)

There aren't many easy/cheap ways to do this without miles. You might be able to buy an ODU (On Depature Upgrade) from SIN, but I don't think that Singapore Airlines offer them usually.

There aren't any fares which currently make this possible, the only 2 ways to go about it are either utilising points, or buying 2 one way tickets, though that would work out rather pricey and I suspect not much less than a return J ticket.

Does anyone know whether it is possible to book on one reservation/ticket - MEL-LAX in economy (on QF) (or even premium economy for that matter and then LAX to (say for example) DFW on AA in First (on AA) and then the return - ie DFW-LAX in first and then LAX-MEL in economy or premium economy?

My understanding is that it is possible in 1 resvervation. It will just use mutibple fare basis.
