Hello All,

I booked a flight via Priceline.com in July for my wife, two Daughters and myself for BNE-LAX return on QF-15/16 but I just realised that in my haste I spelled my youngest daughters(8) middle name as ANN not ANNE (as per her passport).

I called Qantas who said I needed to contact Priceline who then referred me back to Qantas (good times) so do I even have a problem here ?
We've travelled to the US twice before and her name was always correct on tickets so I am not even sure what to do at this point, or even if I need to do anything.

Please see attached a picture of my Pug Gilligan as thanks for your help.

Taken from Priceline's FAQ section....

Suggests it should be fine. Although, I would go back to Priceline and ask for a re-issued ticket. They will probably charge $$, I'm guessing.

Edit:Gilligan is super cute. Not sure why he gets an appearance though? ;)

*adding sausagefingers to my hate list because hes allowed a pug but Im not*

Don't change a thing as you won't have an issue so no need to contact Priceline or QF.

I accidentally added an extra "S" on to one of my middle names when I went to Hawaii on QF in 2013 and it wasn't a drama.

As I mentioned in another thread a while back I've yet to see someone from Brazil have their series of surnames on their passports match the name in their booking. The TA may use only one of their last names or more than one or they'll be in a different order in the booking to how it is on the passport.

Re your little pug, if you wife is a fan of pugs she'll love the shop Typo as they've got stacks of stationery items with pugs all over them so you've been warned! :p

Thanks so much, I did do a little reading around and everything else suggested that all would be okay, but I figured if I was going to get solid information it would be from here.
My wife knows the shop very well, I keep reminding her, we have the dog, we don't need the merchandise as well, and that we're saving for our holiday (only 178 days to go).

I won't book from an online agency again, but these were the price glitch from July so they were half price.

Cheers,

Ouch!!

Not sure who wins there? I'm thinking the wife.
I obviously think I won lol.
we have two beautiful daughters 8 & 11, my wife and I are only 32 however I feel as though we're passed that stage of our lives albeit early.
Don't let anyone tell you otherwise the operation felt exactly like you think it would feel.

Yep, my friend , who was my Best Man at my wedding (to the evil bovine, but lets not go there...), had it done this year. He cried like a baby!....

But we are getting off topic here. Just spoke to my Sister-in-Law. Works as a TA nowadays and Qantas before that, says it won't be a problem. Obvious "typos" are not an issue. We'll call it a typo! Misspelt surnames can often be a problem, but middle names, no issue.

Perfect thanks, I am dyslexic so I usually avoid booking things like this, or filling out important forms.

I really appreciate every ones help.

;) So, the only one you need to worry about now is your daughter who thinks you don't know what her name is?

There's a "hate list" on AFF

;)

No. Just my personal list of people that tease me with beautiful pugs that Im not allowed to own. Hubby promised when I am home more, I can have one... . Which is approx 2037, he said.

Absolutely agree here. ANN or ANNE - half the time middle names are truncated on boarding passes anyway. The passport will be scanned at check-in, and the information will be sent from the passport to the TSA for pre-flight authority - so the spelling itself won't be a problem.

If questioned... deny everything and say you had no idea :)
