Hi all
Quick question.

Thinking of status run EX CNS > PER (via SYD).

I Have to get to CNS from SYD (separate booking) to make the 12:40pm flight (status run). the SYD flight arrives there at 12:00pm.

Is that enough time to change over? no luggage of coarse...

for the return its same story, but arrive CNS 12:00pm with flight to SYD at 12:45pm.

Is 40 mins too short?
Hope not but want to be safe

thanks for any input :)

Any chance it might be the same plane on both legs?

And what are your back up plans if you miss the flight? Are there alternative flights to get you home in a reasonable time? Or would you be stuck there at your own expense for a day or so?

I've done 5 bookable 35 minute connections over the past 18 months -
Missed three (all at BNE)- maybe that tells you something....
Ran across terminal for one (SYD) (Perth connection - they seem to wait longer for passengers on these flights)
Easily made the other (MEL) as it was the same plane :) ... of course if it wasn't I probably would have had to run again.

So not a great record so far.

Hi
Yeah not sure about the actual plane's. How would I find that out? (in terms of "is it the same plane")

say it wasn't, do you think 40 is cutting it too fine?

At least once you leave SYD the first time, you are airside until you arrive in PER. Considering that you are flying SYD - CNS - SYD for the first bit, it is likely that you might have the same plane.

Have you considered SYD - CNS - MEL - PER?

In May, I am doing SYD - OOL - MEL - PER.

Once made a 15 min connection in SYD (MEL-SYD-OOL) - What are we actually going off here though, the board time as printed on our BPs (30 mins before departure for DOM), 15 minutes before departure, actual time of departure?

Still am surprised somewhat the booking engine gave me that option in the first place (Then again....). Lady at MEL Lounge just said they'd put me on the next flight if I missed my connection - What, the one the next day? Sure that would have been grand.... Not!!!

your run sounds good. are they all booked independently?? and is the return the same route?

SYD - OOL - SYD is one booking & MEL - PER - MEL is another.

The return is actually the same route as the forward journey so it is SYD - OOL - MEL - PER - MEL - OOL - SYD.

I just did 55 minutes or so at SYD, I even had time to run up to he lounge for a quick coffee and snack
