Has anybody stayed in the hotel which is above the terminal in Miami airport? I have a flight arriving late and a fairly early departure the next day.
Thanks

No we havent but we always stay at the Hampton Inn Blue lagoon which is only 5 minutes away and they have a 24 hour shuttle...Invariably we arrive from London on BA at around 6.00pm leaving at 10.30am the following day to Costa Rica and find that this hotel suits us perfectly with a Publix supermarket opposite and 3 pharmacies almost next door...The reviews of the Miami Airport Hotel are not all that favourable...Hope this helps

Have not stayed at the hotel at MIA Intl Airport but stayed at the Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza on a 5,000 points break award night which was more than convenient.

It had a free airport shuttle & free buffet breakfast (platinum member).

I've been looking for a Miami Airport hotel too and this one actually has quite good reviews. With an early morning flight, I'll be booking this one.

Thanks my inbound flight arrives very late which is why I thought the airport hotel would be a good idea till I read the reviews! So thought I would check if any AFFer had experience of staying there or knew anyone that had
I also will be going to Costa Rica for a few days at the end of my trip-any suggestions what to see? How many days to spend there (Have 10 days to divide between there and St Maarten/Martin)
Thanks

Hmmm.... Which review site are you checking? My search on several sites showing recent reviews are ok including post #5.

In any event, I really just need the room for a very early checkout to airport. It's definitely not what I would book as a base for my holiday activities.

I booked it yesterday thru the MVP site for $125 US inc. tax.

I am talking about the hotel IN the terminal at MIA , is that what you booked??
I like the sound of the suggestion post #5 am keeping that in mind just trying to find out about the hotel inside terminal E 2nd floor!

Now I'm with you.

No, I didn't book the hotel inside the terminal. I can see the benefits of it, but I'm not sure I'd like the planes flying in, over, or (heaven forbid) into my room, so I probably wouldn't sleep that well in this hotel. Reviews aren't that great, but location.....winner!
