Melbourne, Saturday 7 December 2013 [Hotels booked out?]

Does anyone know why there is almost no Melbourne CBD accommodation this Saturday night? I know there is a Catholic Youth Festival on but that's over a few days and proceeding two nights are OK.

I ended up booking the Best Western Airport Motel at Attwood for one night (free shuttle to/from the airport) and I'll go into town on Sunday morning for the rest of my trip. As I arrive on the Saturday night this hasn't really disrupted my plans but it is weird not seeing any rooms for less than $500!.

Found these two but that would seem to be an unlikely reason (unless dancesport is much bigger than I think!)
