Folks

I just wanted to warn anyone in the unlikely event they are considering staying at Marriott Yogyakarta with family... Its recently opened and the pictures look great. Sadly, they refused my 9 year old son stating they have a policy of not letting children under 12 years old in. In my personal opinion, this is very disappointing and lacks common sense as most M Club lounges in USA I have noticed let children under the age of 8 in for free as long as they are accompanied with a parent, not to mention other hotel lounges in Japan and within Indonesia.

I normally have a great experience with Marriott and Ritz Carlton hotels, but this is a deal breaker and they will a bit of business from me now! I have someone I know at a Ritz Carlton inquiring to sort this out so I still hope for a good outcome.

I hope others have a better experience.

Update, staff from Ritz Carlton helped me sort this out. Kudos to the sales lady there! PM me if you need to take kids to that hotel's lounge. I have the manager's details to sort it out
