Thanks to the informative knowledge of the "AFFF Massive" I learned a few years back all about using JASA's and pretty swiftly jumped up to WP status from Gold where i'd been flogging away for years. With my QFF anniversary 1st Sep, last couple of years I managed to get my WP retention sorted by November then used VA for most of the remaining months to keep my Plat with them as well (I think this makes me officially an Airline cough :evil
With the imminent demise of the beloved ASA, I've just cranked that puppy up to a whole new level - in the 4 months Sep-Nov I'll have clocked up a tidy 3605 SC (double SC promo came in handy ) mainly with the objective of getting my LTG sorted - if my job disappeared then at least I could take up holding traffic signs or leaning on a shovel for a living, and still use the SC perks when SWMBO & I go on holiday.
Added benefit will be it gets me into P1. The jury's out on whether P1 is worth keeping or not but hey - nice problem to have!
75% of the 3600 SC have come from domestic JASA tickets, especially HBA-CNS return & MEL-CNS return - still only 72000 points with routing via SYD/BNE etc. As has been more than covered in other threads, these multi-stop JASA's are now "rare as rocking horse droppings" taking a lot more effort to get across the line than they used to online, but they are out there if you are prepared for some long waits on the phone to the luverly QF cust service team
Thanks again to AFFF for all the awesome info
