Can someone recommend a quality luggage weigher please.

I bought a hand held set off ebay. They weight upto 55kg. IIRC I paid about $20. I personally would put any emphasis on "quality". These ell cheapo's have accuracy of +/- 1 gram. To me, not really worth worrying about. I take them everywhere I go

Be aware, that often hotels have them behind the counter, even the cheap hotels.
The important question to me is around accuracy. Not very helpful if the scales at the various hotels are possibly inaccurate.

I bought a digits set some years ago that give me the same answer as the checkin scales so maybe I'm lucky.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I know what you are saying straitman. My ell chepo as above are digital and if my carry on weights +/- 1 gram on a 7kg allowance I am happy.

What I am saying is you don't have to pay a fortune for some digital scales which are small, compact and light which will fit in your bag and do everything you need

I have a Korjo brand and another scale that I bought from Aldi - vast difference in price between them and they are both very accurate - I prefer the Aldi one.

Bought at Walmart.never more than 100gm different from airline scales except for Rex and i think it is the Rex scales that are wrong.

Lifetrons. Swiss made, great quality, light. There was an identical thread to this about 6 months ago IIRC.

Reading AFF threads on points generations / applications should render all these luggage scales redundant.

That's what happened to me !

Haven't had to go back to them for a few years now.

Seriously, you need to look beyond the immediate need for the scales.

The one languishing in my drawer is also a Balanzza too.

I bought the Aldi ones a few years ago (I think) and they have proven to be very reliable for me and were cheap also (IIRC circa $10-$15). They go with me whenever I have checked luggage, are small and light and I weight both hand luggage and checked luggage with them and never pushed them beyond their limits whatever that maybe (although I did once bend the steel that supports the strap). For me, better than being lumped with an excess baggage bill (which VA were doing even to status members when they changed over to per piece allowance rather than combined weight allowance).

I've got a Salter 9500 hand held scale from BingLee, has served me very well over the years and is pretty accurate. Currently on the website for $19, but I paid about $15 delivered on a deal (OzBargain) and have seen it go on sale every now and then. I would definitely recommend this scale if someone is thinking about it.
