Hi All

Flying to LA via Syd and then Honolulu. Flights are all Qantas except Honolulu to LAX (AA code share).

Just wondering luggage is included on that code-share flight? I'm assuming it is but not 100% sure on the internal USA flights.

Thanks

The ticketing detail should set out your baggage allowances, as it will depend, as a first step, what tickets you have purchased and the conditions attached.

Via the QF app the code-share flight states 23 kg x 2... then underneath it says Check the American Airlines website for more information... and found this

Within And Between the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands
Customers traveling on Economy Class tickets will be charged $25 each way for the first checked bag and $35 each way for the second checked bag within the weight and size limitations. Exceptions may apply.

Can't find info on the so called exceptions

Under IATA rules, baggage allowance is based on the "Most Significant Carrier" on that ticket, which is (usually) the marketing carrier of the longest flight.
This is a little different for flights involving the US, as US Department of Transport rules override the IATA rules. In that case, the rules of the first marketing carrier on the ticket are applied.

Thus, in theory, if your first flight is under a QF code, the entire ticket should follow the QF baggage rules.

Similar to above, I am flying SYD_DFW-LHR. Syd to DFW on QF7 then transferring to American to LHR. Just transferring flights at DFW, so I assume luggage will be directly transferred. What will my allowance be?
See attached. Thanks
