When travelling on a VA-coded, VX-operated flight in F (booked as J award), does this entitle one to lounge access at the Loft? I note that the VX rules for their own flights would preclude this as it is not a full fare ticket but the VA website indicates that VA-coded flights would get access. If access is permitted, is one able to bring in children under the age of 12 (as permitted by the rules on the VA website) or do the standard VX restriction apply because it is their flight? Note that the passenger has no status with VA so is relying on cabin class for access.

If you are Gold or Plat then yes, but if not you may not get in.

I know that Gold and Plat will definitely do it. The VA website indicates that Business Class guests travelling on VX flights are entitled to access including the child but I've read that some people have struggled at LAX. Advice from VFF here would assist to provide some confidence when advising the passenger.

Access is as we advertise on the VA website:
· VA Business Class guests traveling on a VA coded VX flight have access to the Loft, and you will be able to admit an accompanying child under the age of 12.
