Lounge access on for Etihad partner flights

I'm considering booking Etihad flights and had a quick question regarding access to lounges. If I take a flight with an EY flight number but it is operated by a partner airline such as Air Serbia or Alitalia will my Velocity Platinum grant me lounge access? This is particularly important as it is most likely the flight leaving AUH is operated by one of these airlines and I would hate to miss out on lounge access at AUH.

Chances are very good you wouldn't get lounge access. EY are typically fairly good in providing lounge access, even where they don't run their own lounge - but only when it's their metal.
