Hi

Flying to MUC with SQ this coming December. Was wondering if Velocity Gold will get you into SQ's partner lounge with Lufthansa in the absence of a SilverKris lounge? Anybody tried this?
BTW - still think it is bizarre that the KrisFlyer Gold lounge in SIN doesn't have shower or toilets. Going to use Diners Card for free entry and pay for adult at Ambassador Lounge instead.

Cheers!

From reading the Lounge Access rules on Velocity Rewards, the answer appears to be 'no' if it isn't a SQ SilverKris (i.e. operated) lounge. You can always try your luck, though the Lufthansa lounge guards may enforce the rules quite strictly (and some may never have heard of Velocity Rewards before - they might think you're pulling their leg).

If you are flying J or F, of course this question is moot.

Indeed - it's an ongoing surprise to those of us *G flyers that also must resign to using said lounge.

To think JQ had gotten their proverbial together with QF Codeshare when I wanted to book I would have been flying OW the whole way mostly with AY. Instead, have organised an eclectic bunch of flights, SQ/MI (DRW-MUC ret), AY (DUS-RVN), Norwegian Air Shuttle (RVN-HEL) and BF/SK (HEL-MUC).

I will try and report on the experiences children (3 yrs and 15 mnths) permitting. Norwegian looks like the old DJ.

Norwegian isn't too bad - I fly on them a few times each year and have done for some time. They offer free wifi on some flights and on occasion have VERY cheap fares. But you a right - alot like the old DJ.

Going by the website, it looks like ALL flights have it. WiFi - Norwegian
I have read somewhere of a near riot on board when it failed. Is free wifi more important than a free meal or luggage? I would argue increasingly yes!
