Hi All,

Very shortly I am off to SE Asia with my sister as she lives in PER and I live in SYD we will meet up to start the trip in SIN and on the return this is where we will separate to return to our home cities as well. On the way there we will be be spending some time in SIN to visit a cousin before we head to Thailand. On return however we have about four hours in SIN between the CX flight we will arrive on and the QF flights we will leave on (they leave within 20mins of each other) to get to our respective home cities. We may go and see our cousin again as she lives quite close to the airport but if not we would like to be able to use the QP for a shower and snack. I am an SG so should get in no problems but my sister is an NB and as we are not departing on the same flight strictly speaking by QF's definition we are not traveling together so I am worried they will not allow her to be my guest particularly with the renovations going on. Do you think they are likely to let her in as a guest? If it makes any difference we have the same surname and will have arrived on the same CX flight. Alternatively she has a QP pass that I got when I qualified for PS last year that I gave her to use in PER but I could tell her to keep it to use in SIN instead if it is likely to be too risky whether she will get in there do you think that would be safer? Thanks for any advice.

Your best option is to keep the pass till your return flights back. The Perth Int Lounge isn't anything out of the ordinary and I'm sure you both will be 10X as grateful for the access when returning as you are not stopping in Singapore again on the way back?

Have you posted the flights in the appropriate thread to see if anyone will be on the same flight back to Perth?

Guest just has to be on an eligible flight not necessarily your flight to be allowed access. You are both on QF flights that day, your sister should be allowed access as your guest.

It can't hurt to ask first and then produce the lounge pass if denied.

Thanks for the replies everyone I think I will just present her with the choices and let her decide then she can't get cranky if she gets denied in SIN after having used her pass in PER. Medhed the only problem with that idea is the pass expires at the end of June so if she still has it when we get to SIN she may as well just use it as it will only have a couple of days of validity left.
