Lounge Access: ADL-MEL in Y and MEL-AKL in J

Tried to do a forum search and look on VA's website - but no luck.

I've got EY Gold and and a NZ ticketed itinerary ADL-MEL-AKL with ADL-MEL in Y (on VA operated NZ codeshare) and MEL-AKL in J (on NZ). Can I get lounge access at ADL based on same day onward J flight on the same itinerary? Alternatively, would I be able to gain access with EY Gold?

Won't EY gold give access? You're not missing much in ADL anyway. But the lounge staff are wonderful.

I'm hoping it will be based on VA operating the flight. But it's ticketed as an NZ codeshare with an NZ flight number. So I'm not sure on that one. But I'll try anyway.

To the OP, I'd be surprised if you didn't get in on EY Gold.

My husband is EY gold & has had no issues entering the ADL VA lounge. Has always been flying VA operated flights though so not sure how that changes being a NZ ticketed flight. Crossing my fingers for you
